Sparkling Red-Wine Cocktails

Here is a quick, simple cocktail to add to your fantastic Valentine’s spread. It’s bubbly pink appearance says ‘special occasion’ while it’s light, not-too-sweet taste makes it a perfect accompaniment to your meal. Even better? The instructions are easy enough for a novice-mixologist and require no special equipment.
To start, gather your very basic ingredients. You can find an inexpensive sparkling red wine or rose champagne at most stores that carry wine – a ‘dry’ wine is best with this recipe as the Orangina brings enough sweetness to the mix.
Combine Orangina, Wine, and Brandy (if using) in a large pitcher.
Cut an orange into wedges. Use one of the wedges to wet the rim of each glass.
Combine the cinnamon and sugar on plate. Invert cups onto the plate to coat the rim with the cinnamon sugar.
Drop a few ice cubes in each glass then fill with the wine mixture. Tuck an orange slice into the glass as well, if desired.
