Valentine’s Day Gift List

Our Mom Colored Glasses Christmas list was such a huge hit we thought we’d put together a mini-version for Valentine’s Day.  We love Valentine’s Day over here!  It’s pretty, sweet, and so fantastic to have a day just to celebrate why you love someone more than you do every other day of the year.  Kids love Valentine’s Day too…..so if nothing else, check out our gift ideas for them.  A Valentines’ day gift doesn’t have to be extravagant (although no one will argue with you if it is)…..just something simple, adorable, cute, pretty, un-necessary, and a little indulgent.

These are gift ideas for the kids, for that special someone, and for you!  Let’s get to it!

For You

This sweet little love birds necklace is simple and modern and proclaims your love for that someone in your life that you don’t want to forget.  It’d also be a great anniversary present if you’re planning ahead!

These bags are beautiful……and functional.  And they come in a lot of colors! And that huge bow makes this such an appropriate Valentine’s Day present to ask for.

This little necklace looks like candy.  And if  we were you–we’d rather have this “candy” on Valentine’s Day than a box full of chocolates, right?

Rose gold is 2012′s metal of choice when it comes to jewelry….get in on the trend with this beautiful and sparkly bracelet that’s fancy enough to make an extra special outfit look fabulous but also every day enough to make jeans and a t-shirt look a little more special.

For Someone You Love

How adorable is this idea?! And something you can use and change up for years to come!  This little Etsy shop hit the gift idea jackpot when they made this great pillow that you change around to show how much you love each other even through your hearts are separated by many miles.

For your mom, your sister, an older daughter, a really good girlfriend……these beautiful little make-up, jewelry, or knick knack bags make a great little gift.  And maybe–you could ask for a set too!

Amazing Grace by Philosophy is one of the cleanest, freshest scents around.  There are many products on Philosophy’s web-site in this fragrance but this body lotion is one of our favorites and we think it would make a sweet Valentine’s Day gift for someone special!

These cushioned letters are a super gift, and a super cheap option for anyone on Valentine’s Day.  Check them out at Antrhopologie.

Votivo Candles smell incredible…….no matter what scent you buy them in!   They come in a beautiful little box so you don’t even need to wrap them and they’ll delight anyone on Valentine’s Day.  Light one up in the middle of your table for Valentine’s Day dinner and everyone will love it.

For Someone You Love………Really Love

These little lace boy shorts are a more comfortable spin on the typical boudoir fare for Valentine’s Day that usually consist of straps, and ties and snaps and just way too much work.  We think someone you love would appreciate these, don’t you?

Get lucky dice from Red Envelope have February 14th written all over them but are, of course, usable all year long–not just on Valentine’s Day.  They come in a cute little package and are perfect for a Valentine’s night in! Click here for an extra 15% off at Red Envelope!

For the Kids

Wiener dogs have never been cuter! This is a great addition to the stuffed animal collection…..and totally original!

This game is as beautiful as it is practical. Your little one can work on learning their colors and work on developing their motor skills as they scoop these multicolored balls into different jars.  It’s a great pretend play toy and would be a fantastic candidate to add to the play kitchen! Plus, it’s a fabulous price point at only $22.

This bug puzzle is full of beautiful colors and perfect for a boy or a girl.  It’s fun and whimsical and different than your run-of-the-mill puzzle.

You might not love the idea of a musical instrument but your kids will love this harmonica…..it’s a different sound than most kids are used to hearing and they’ll appreciate the simplicity of making some unique music.  And, for less than $10……you might be persuaded!

This little apron for your budding Food Network star is perfect and adorable.  Add a cute cookie cutter and you’ve got an afternoon date in the kitchen all ready to go!

Call us crazy–but we think some highly organized kid would get giddy over this as a present any day…..and frankly……so would we.  The Rakku shoe wheel is a super cool, super efficient way to store your shoes.  What says lovin’ like responsible shoe ownership?

Everyone loves to get little love letters on Valentine’s Day–these can be delivered over and over and over again!

Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be complete without a Knight in Shining Armor right?  And thankfully, the Etsy shop The Treehouse Kid can equip your little knight with everything he or she needs.  This shop also has some great super hero paraphanalia.
